Abby and Ryan initially had big dreams to elope in Europe, but when it came down to actually start planning, nothing felt quite right. With wanting their wedding day to feel like home, be easily accessible to their family, and also be surrounded by beauty, they ultimately decided to tie the knot at the Bostian family beach home in the Outer Banks. It could not have been a more perfect fit.

Abby and Ryan spent the morning before their wedding at the beach where they spent so many summers together, grounding themselves with anticipation for all that was to come.

On the morning of their big day, their 18 family members worked hard to prepare. And everyone, I mean everyone, contributed to the overall vision. Both families gathered together for breakfast to sit at the kitchen tables built by Abby’s mom specifically for the occasion.

Abby got ready slumber party style with her sisters, excitedly running all around the house.

And then it was time for their first look.

Heading over to the golf course right by their beach house, Abby and Ryan had the most beautiful ceremony spot overlooking the sound. They exchanged personal vows in a place where all 16 of their closest could be present and participate. Each of their dad’s led the ceremony, and each of their grandmother’s presented the rings. Followed by the celebratory hugs as two families officially became one!

Soaking in the last bits of sunlight together on the very best day <3

The family all sat down together for dinner and drinks. Exchanging funny stories and offering marriage advice for the newlyweds. I’ve yet to hear a speech that tops Abby’s sweet sister Goose.
